IV is not biased against any EB category. Their goal is to have process so that everyone gets GC in one year from date of application. These categories are set by USCIS. IV is currently in process of detailing solutions to end this misery of all EB category. More details can only be find in your respective state chapters. We cannot disclose details on the public forum. I will urge you to join your state chapter so that you are aware of what all IV is trying to do. IV is not trying to make system work for EB2 or EB1 but for everyone. There are lot of solutions, but we need to lobby and for that we need volunteer. Remember IV is not a corporate who has people working on its payroll and getting revenue. All of us need to contribute and volunteer. Trust me the day all of us (at least number of people blogging currently) join their state chapter and volunteer couple of hours in a month, you will not need lobby. The public voice be enough to convince Hill and House to pass a legislation.

The guy Affirmatively said "It will be June 2002" and gave me red because the dates i gave were behind , Ithought it was funny because we are all playing the prediction game.....

For all those waiting for approval, its does help to find out if a visa number has been requested for your application. My understanding is that all the applications which are ready for adjudication are moved to a separate area and visa number is requested for those.Infact if you can find out (I think the guys at Infopass only have access to that information. Not sure if the level 2 service does) it helps. If a visa number has been assigned or requested for your application it will get approved.
I am not sure if assigned to an officer or with an officer status has any material value when it comes to approval unless a visa number has been requested.

Files will be pulled through this sweep and sent to an Officer. We are generally processing about 4000 employment-based cases a month and the cases with available visas are being pulled through these sweeps.

zI have mentioned IV to a some Indians. They have no interest. Some of them are not bothered about retrogression. They exepect the GC to fall in their lap while they are sipping tea and eating samosa.
Also, it is hard to trust a mainly Indian set up. The Indian contracting companies have set a very shameless level. I told my friends that IV appears different but it is hard to change your opinion when you see something else 10 times a day.
I apolozie to the sensitive Indians if I this is breaking news. But this is the general feeling and a reason for hate in the blogs: where there is smoke there is fire. It is embarassing.

My case is similar to yours: dates, TSC, received EAD before receipts, don't know who paid the checks, etc.
I inquired my attorney and they sent me the receipts. Ask them, they would have received it already.

Employers can (at least they do) discriminate EAD holders. Here is an example and related link:

They key word here is "Permanent legal right to work in the United States". EADs (485 based EAD as well as F1 based EADs) have a limit of 1 year/2 year/29 months etc. Based on this Fog Creek Software will not hire an EAD holder. Can we do some thing about this blatant violation of the law?
As per I-9 form
The refusal to hire an individual because the documents presented have a future expiration date may also constitute illegal discrimination.
Any person wrongly discriminated due to EAD expiration date has the option of seeking claims for damages caused by the other party in court of law. I am not aware of any case involving such facts.

The receipt no. had SRC***** in it and when i looked it up online i saw a note stating " your applicaiton is with our Texas Center". I did send it to NSC on Jul 2.
I understand that. What I wanted to know was what number you have? SRC or LIN? And also to confirm, if it was cashed by TSC? and not the case that it was cashed by NSC and then scheduled to be transfer to TSC?

Usually it is a maximum of 2 weeks. NSC approved some in 2 days.
